general assessments of established buildings

Even if you're not currently buying or selling a house you may want to have your home inspected for existing or potential problems that could become worse over time if left unattended. A written recommendation is supplied and a further inspection by a specialist may be required, often we can refer you to the right service or trades person.

These inspections are in the nature of general appraisals as to the likely severity and causes of problems commonly affecting established dwellings. For the greatest part these relate to cracking of walls and ceilings, dampness and sundry problems such as failures in timber framed type components.

Often we are asked if an inspection is necessary for a relatively new house. It can be a very good idea, especially if the building is less than five years old and still under builders warranty.

Inspecting an established house
"Thank you very much Karl, for the in depth building inspection. I'll be honest I did not know what you were going to be doing, but you have been very thorough and I thank you for that. I have noted all points and will ensure that the things that need impending attention are addressed."
